KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY IN CALIFORNIA & COLORADO

Access a Deeper Level of Healing

Some patterns sit deeper than words can reach on their own. Ketamine assisted psychotherapy opens a window for new perspective, insight, and change.

What This Approach Makes Possible

Some emotional patterns get set early and become ingrained, even after years of working on them. Talk therapy can help you understand those patterns clearly and still leave you living inside them. That's not a flaw in the process — some patterns are held where words and insight can't fully reach.

Ketamine works differently. It supports greater neuroplasticity, making the brain more open to new connections — opening a window to gaining perspective, accessing feelings that have been hard to reach, and shifting patterns that have felt stuck for a long time.

Used alongside therapy, that window becomes a place to process, clarify, and make meaning of what surfaces. The ketamine experience creates the opening; therapy is what helps you integrate that experience and translate it into lasting change.

Each phase builds on the last, so the process can adjust as your understanding, comfort, and needs change along the way.

Prepare for the Experience

Before any dosing session, we spend time building the groundwork through our preparation sessions. The goal is to explore expectations, set intentions, and establish the kind of trust that makes the experience feel supported rather than uncertain.

Move Through the Session

During dosing sessions, you're supported the entire time, with space to let new perspectives, insights, and emotions come forward, without needing to force or direct the experience. You will self-administer the ketamine lozenge prescribed by the medical provider. Dosing sessions are typically 90 minutes to allow for the experience and any processing immediately after.

Make Meaning of What Surfaced

Integration sessions are where we process any emotions, memories, and insights that came up during the experience. During this phase we explore how these new insights can be applied to create change. Meaning deepens as the mind continues to reorganize itself.

How Ketamine Works in the Brain

How Ketamine Works in the Brain

Ketamine works through a glutamate-driven cascade in the brain, leading to elevated BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor), which leads to synaptogenesis — new synaptic connections forming, primarily in the prefrontal cortex.
